ReachDraft ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension and related services.
Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name.
Your Profile Information: If you provide your name, title, company, and use case during onboarding, this information is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and is used to personalize generated messages.
Usage Data: We collect usage statistics tied to your account, including daily message generation counts, translation counts, and feature usage, to enforce plan limits and improve our service.
Data Sent to Third-Party AI Services
To generate personalized messages, ReachDraft sends data to OpenAI's API (via our backend). This is a core part of how the product works. The data sent includes:
- Recipient profile data: Name, title, company, location, headline, and about section of the LinkedIn profile you are viewing
- Recipient's recent posts: Up to 3 recent LinkedIn posts, used to personalize the generated message
- Conversation history: When generating replies, up to 10 recent messages in the conversation thread are sent for context
- Post content: When generating comments, the content of the LinkedIn post is sent
- Your profile context: Your name, role, company, and use case, so the AI can write from your perspective
- Your preferences: Selected tone, format, and language
This data is sent to OpenAI for processing and is not stored by us after the response is returned. OpenAI's data usage policy applies to data processed through their API. OpenAI's API data is not used to train their models.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not permanently store LinkedIn profile data of people you view on our servers
- We do not store the generated messages on our servers
- We do not track your browsing history
- We do not sell your data to third parties
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain our service
- To authenticate your account
- To generate personalized messages using AI
- To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To improve our service based on usage patterns
Data Storage
Local storage: Your profile information, preferences, contact history, and drafts are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data does not leave your device unless you use a feature that requires server processing (such as message generation or translation).
Server storage: Your account information (email, name, subscription tier), usage counts, and authentication tokens are stored on our servers via Supabase.
Payment data: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: For authentication, account management, usage tracking, and backend functions
- OpenAI: To generate personalized messages, comments, replies, and translations (recipient data and conversation context are sent as described above)
- Stripe: For payment processing and subscription management
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete your account and all associated server-side data at any time
- Clear all locally stored data by removing the extension
- Export your contact history data from within the extension
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us
