Initial Setup & Onboarding
When you first open ReachDraft, you'll see a quick onboarding flow that helps personalize your messages. This takes about 30 seconds.
What You'll Set Up
The onboarding asks for a few pieces of information:
Your Name
Your first name is used to sign off messages naturally. For example, a message might end with "Best, Sarah" instead of a generic closing.
Your Role & Company
This provides context for the AI when generating messages. A recruiter's message will have a different tone than a sales rep's message.
Your Purpose
Choose your primary use case:
- Sales: Cold outreach to potential customers
- Recruiting: Reaching out to candidates
- Networking: Building professional connections
- Job Seeking: Contacting hiring managers or recruiters
- Other: Any other professional outreach
Can I Skip This?
Yes, you can skip the onboarding and start using ReachDraft immediately. However, your messages will be more generic without this context.
Changing Your Settings Later
You can update any of this information at any time:
- Open the ReachDraft extension
- Click the Settings icon (gear) in the top right
- Update your name, role, company, or purpose
- Changes are saved automatically
Tip: The more context you provide, the better your messages will be. Consider adding a brief description of what you typically offer or discuss.
